Nimbusfire directors registered in 2014 and could see a very desperate need for more water-efficient and smaller firefighting systems that could go on and off-road faster than the more cumbersome and conventional systems being used in Africa.

The water consumption of those machines over the coming years will become unsustainable. Therefore the Rapid Intervention Vehicle was born in the shape of the Mahindra Scorpio and Ford Ranger.

Nimbusfire Africa is also a stakeholder of the National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU) formed by the order of President Uhuru Kenyatta in October 2013.

We see Rapid Intervention Vehicles (RIVs) equipped with our latest Oertzen 250HDL misting technology as the future of high-pressure firefighting technology.
